PTC stands for Pay To Click. These websites pay you around$.01 (one penny) for every 30 second advertisement that you watch. They will try to get people to buy as many referralsas possible and then when they have raked in a lot of money theywill close the website instead of paying their customers. Some PTC sites like Bux.to have waiting lists of upto a year. Which means that whenyou request payment, you wil be waiting a very long time. A PTC site will start going down hill when it says it has to delay payments. This means they are broke and they will try to delay paying as long as possible and try to get more people to sign up and buy referrals. I would not trust ANY PTC site that takes longer than 30 days to pay you

NEW YORK — The nation’s major wireless telephone companies and the FCC announced an initiative Tuesday that aims to reduce the theft of smartphones by creating the means to completely disable them remotely — what could be a major deterrent in the skyrocketing black market for high-end mobile phones. In the initial stages of the plan, possibly within six months, each carrier will be responsible for bricking a stolen smartphone for which it provides service. When fully implemented, in perhaps 18 months, an FCC-enabled database ofall participating carrier users will centralize the reporting and deactivating procedure. The customer has to do nothing, and there is no extra tech or any new devices needed — just the compilation of IMEI numbers and their owners. In its final form the initiative would not only relieve phone owners from having to register to take advantage of the protection but even of knowing who provides their service — information that members of a family or corporate plan may not necessarily have at their fingertips. The technique will employ each phone’s unique International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) identifier, which would be automatically included in a one-stop national database. The owner’s request to the centralized service would‘brick’ the phone. “They literally will push abutton and it will turn the phone into a worthless piece of plastic,” New York Police Department Commissioner Ray Kelly said at a news conference. In addition, Sen. Chuck Schumer also announced that he will be introducing legislation which would make it a federal crime to tamper with or change IMEIs, in hopes that this will supplement the database’s goals of decreasing phone theft. Officials told the press conference that mobile phone theft in the city had increased from 8 percent to 42 percent in the last 10 years. Smartphones are notoriously easy to conceal ( and lose ) and there are vibrant local and global black marketsfor the best of them. Apple’s “Find My iPhone,” a free component of iCloud, allows the owner to lockand wipe all data from a missing phone, but the phone can be fully restored by even a moderately talented hacker. Speaking of hackers (andnot to rain on a very good parade), this plan would also mean that anindeterminate amount of personal information from cellphone owners would suddenly be in a new repository, possibly a ripe target for theft itself
